UFC 129: St-Pierre vs. Shields is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario. The event will be the sixth that the UFC has hosted in Canada and the first in Ontario since mixed martial arts was legalized in the province in August 2010.[2] The Toronto event was originally titled UFC 131 by the promotion, but later changed to UFC 129 as its early 2011 schedule started to fall more firmly into place.

After much hoopla, “UFC 129: St-Pierre vs. Shields” fight week is finally upon us. While most fans are anxious to witness some action-packed scraps this Saturday, others are excited to see how their investments will pan out.
Georges St-Pierre is a heavy 4.5-to-1 odds-on favorite to retain his welterweight crown against Jake Shields in the night’s main event, while freshly coined UFC featherweight king Jose Aldo is a whopping -500 favorite to dispose of Mark Hominick in the card’s co-featured contest.
Speaking of long shots, Randy Couture is a 2.5-to-1 underdog against Lyoto Machida. Couture has stated Saturday will mark his final mixed martial arts contest.
